The purpose of the Degree Programme in Music Technology is to provide the students with the competence to serve as a music and technology expert in the more demanding tasks of music technology.
Bachelor of music (180 ECTS credits)
Music Technology Major, at least 90 ECTS credits
Technical studies
Studies in creative music and performance, at least 20 ECTS credits
Final project, 6–10 ECTS credits
Maturity test
Secondary studies
History of Music, at least 9 ECTS credits
Music Theory and Solfège
Language studies, 8 ECTS credits
Second official language in Finland
Foreign language
Optional studies, at least 10 ECTS credits
Master of music (150 ECTS credits)
Music Technology Major, at least 100 ECTS credits
Study modules supporting special expertise in music technology
Studies related to the thesis
Studies in creative music or performance (if they are not included in the studies for the Bachelor’s Degree)
Final project, 20–40 ECTS credits
Maturity test
