Welcome to the MUHAVE website!
MUHAVE, online learning material for music research, introduces students to various music information sources and their use.
Structure of the Site
The site is divided into three parts, each providing a different view of music research. Research Guidance provides information on the basics of research and different research techniques, as well as tips on how to search for music material. Music Research Practice concentrates on training students in the use of music databases, via introductions and interactive exercises. The Sources section includes source maps, whose purpose is to help you select the right sources of information in searches. The
Glossary can be referred to for research terminology; the Index provides the whole MUHAVE site in the form of a simple list of links.
If you are new to research, we recommend that you start with the Research Guidance section.
The MUHAVE site is still being tested, and we would like to hear users' comments on the use of MUHAVE. You can provide feedback by taking the online survey. Completing the survey takes 3 - 5 minutes.
